Training aggressive dogs is more complex than just showing your dominance over your dog. You need to also be a compassionate caregiver by making your pet feel secure in his environment. This can be done a number of ways.
First, know how to help an aggressive dog by socialization. A well-adjusted dog does not feel threatened by other people or animals. Practice positive socialization early on, and your dog will never feel insecure around other people. This is an especially important step when you have children in your home.
